NYC Opens up Shopping at Subway Platforms

Have you been stuck on a subway station on a hot summer day without being able to buy a drink? Well, that common problem in NY might soon be solved.
MTA, New York’s transport authority, has been discussing this option for year but its first now it’s been approved.
First out seems to be a bunch of small stores inside the Columbus Circle subway concourse. The capacity for new retail space has been available for years, but never really been used. So if you need a drink or newspaper at the subway platform in NY anytime soon – it will be possible even in rush hour.
