Finally we get to enjoy even more traditional football in New York. The new team will be the second soccer club in NY after New York Red Bulls. The decision to start a new football club in the major city was taken earlier this year and now the team is almost ready to start the new season.

Any famous players joining NYC FC?
There are quite a few famous football players you might have heard of such as David Villa and Frank Lampard.
Many European fotballers go to America when their career is slowing down or there are not so many years left.
Still, there are quite a few players NYC FC need to recruit before going live in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2015.
The coach for 2015 will be Jason Kreis.

Where will they play?
The new fotboll club has been looking for a new arena for quite a while. Eventually, they decided to play at Yankee Stadium
the first season. The arena will be taking up to 34 444 fans at home games. Yankee Stadium is also home to the baseball club with the same name, Yankees. Worth to know is that Yankees are one of the owners, while Manchester City is the other part.

Wanna buy soveniers from NY city FC? They have 25 % off as a cyber Monday sale. Free shipping on all orders over 75 USD. Their website is NYCFC.com while the facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/newyorkcityfc.

New York City (NYC) continue showing strong growth, at least for this decade. The population increased by over 61 000 thanks to an influx of foreigners and inhabitants from other states, according to United States Census Bureau. If housing optoions allow we might see an increase in population from 19,651,127 today to 20 millions in a few years.

Interesting facts about people in New York

Everyone don’t live on Manhattan. The median travel time for NY residents are just over 31 minutes. Median household income is £34 728 ($57 683) and over 54 % of all New Yorkers own their
own house or apartment. There are 285 000 more females than men, about 14 % are 65 years or older and near 1/4 is under 18 years old.

One of New York’s leading basketball teams sign Jason Collin, the first openly gay NBA athlete. The contract is only for 10 days with a possibillity to extend in the future. Mr Collin will wear #98 when playing for Brooklyn Nets. His last team was Washington Wizards.

Reuniting with old team mates

Collins is reuniting with the defensive big-minded coach he used to play with in New Jersey, Jason Kidd, now coach for Nets. They made two trips to NBA finals together. Jason also been playing with Joe Johnson, Nets guard, during 3 seasons in Atlanta. He is also good friends with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett since his season in Boston and injured Brook Lopez.

Six family owned hotels in New York city have come together to form a new brand, Triumph Hotels. No, the new hotel chain got nothing to do with Donald Trump and as you can see the spelling is quite different.

Which properties are included in Triumph Hotels?

A number of prestigious hotels in central New York are included, namely The Cosmopolitan, The Iroquois New York, Triumph Hotels, Hotel Chandler, Hotel Belleclaire, The Cosmopolitan, The Gershwin and The Washington Jefferson. In total, the hotel group can offer almost 1000 rooms laid out over 460,000 square feet.

New hotels are planned to be added to the brand that are distinctly New York. “As a native New Yorker who grew up in the hospitality business, we worked hard to create hotels, and now a brand, that is rich in architecture, history, design, and well-positioned to provide neighborhood-centric experiences,” says co-owner Gerald Barad. Some of Triumphs most popular NY hotels are located in Upper East, Midtown and TriBeCa.

There are a number of incentives to stay at the new Triumph Hotels such as a brand loyalty program and increased focus on the food with Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt. Triumph will also offer “Key To New York City” hotel package allowing guests to discover the best of a distinctly New York experience in one of three Manhattan neighbourhoods when they book at least three nights stay.

Are you a bit thirsty and ready to party in New York? The perfect excuse for a long night out with unlimied local beer is here: New York City Beer Week. Entrance is only $75 for the initial party with unlimited beer, while other events include drinks and dinner at Brooklyn Brewery. The yearly NYC craft beer festival lasts until the 28th of February, 2014.

The purpose of the Beer week in New York is to promote local brewers and raise awareness of local brewing members. 16 NY beer brands are part of the popular event, many rather unknown to a British audience. Have you heard about 508 NYC, City Island Beer or Chelsea Brewing Co before?

Among the more well known beer brands from New York State we find black pale ale from The Bronx Brewery (North East
of Manhattan), seasonal beer from Brooklyn Brewery (in Brooklyn, South NY) or Indian Pale ale from Rockaway Brewing in Queens (East NY).

But can you avoid trying some of the delicious and noble boisson from smaller breweries such as Sixpoint, Gun Hill Brewing and Big Alice Brewing?

More info can be found at the official site or Twitter profile.
